The Indian Super Gaming League (ISGL) is poised to launch in 2026, marking India's first foray into a franchise-based youth performance league that intertwines esports with culture, creators, music, and live energy.
The league's curtain raiser event was held in Mumbai on March 1, 2026, attracting prominent figures from gaming, sports, and entertainment. This event highlighted the significance of esports and the burgeoning talent within India, with ISGL aiming to nurture and showcase this potential.
Scheduled to run from March to June 2026, ISGL differentiates itself through a structured, merit-driven ecosystem unlike one-off tournaments. It will feature eight franchises competing in various esports titles, leading to a national finale. Exhibition matches with celebrities and athletes are also planned.
Broadcasts will span across multiple OTT platforms and YouTube. The league will host matches in cities including Mumbai, Chennai, Goa, and Lucknow. Eight franchises, such as FC Goa and Mumbai City Football Club, will participate.
