Ipswich Town has clarified that they are not planning a move for Tottenham Hotspur's Wilson Odobert and Tyrese Hall. Despite strengthening their squad with several new forwards, including Chuba Akpom, Emersonn, Daizen Maeda, and Abdul Fatwu, manager Gary O'Neil is reportedly still seeking winger reinforcements. Dilane Bakwa is expected to join Lille, and Ipswich will not be signing either Odobert or Hall before the transfer window closes.
Wilson Odobert joined Tottenham from Burnley in the summer of 2024 for a significant fee of €37m. However, the 21-year-old winger has faced fitness challenges since his arrival. He made 24 appearances for Spurs last season before suffering an ACL injury in November against Newcastle United, from which he is still recovering. Tottenham has also recently signed Savio from Manchester City and is reportedly interested in Liverpool's Cody Gakpo.
Tyrese Hall, an academy product of Tottenham, spent last season on a season-long loan at Notts County. He featured in 34 matches for the club, scoring eight goals from a central midfield position, demonstrating his versatility by playing in a more attacking role at times. Hall, who has represented England at the Under-19 level, also received a call-up from the Jamaican national team last year.
