Incoming freshman Leydecker, at 18 years old, achieved a significant milestone by making her first Senior World team at 55 kilograms, winning both her bouts against Areana Villaescusa.
Both Lee and Leydecker are set to represent the United States at the Senior World Championships, scheduled to take place in Astana, Kazakhstan, from October 24 to November 1. David Carr from Iowa State also competed but fell short in his bid to rejoin the team.
