Iowa Offers Rising Star: 2028 Guard McDaniel

Iowa basketball has extended an offer to 2028 shooting guard Parker McDaniel. The 6-foot-3, 170-pound player hails from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and competes for South Central Prep and the Southern Assault AAU team. McDaniel is recognized as a promising prospect, with 247Sports ranking him nationally as the No. 97 player and the No. 15 shooting guard. He is also considered the No. 3 player in Oklahoma. He previously visited Iowa City in February and attended USA Basketball's junior national team minicamp in April.

McDaniel's impressive performance has attracted offers from numerous Division I programs since May. These include prominent schools like Washington, West Virginia, Kansas, Utah, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Northwestern. Additional offers come from Cal, Mississippi State, Hawaii, Oral Roberts, Louisiana Tech, and Sam Houston, highlighting his broad appeal in college basketball recruiting. Rivals also ranks him highly, placing him as the 115th-ranked player nationally and the second-ranked player in Oklahoma.
