The tournament has a tradition of supporting local causes, with a designated charity beneficiary annually receiving approximately $10,000.
Cartersville Country Club, a recurring host since 2023, experiences significant community engagement, including volunteer support and attendance from local high school golfers eager to witness elite senior talent. The event's international draw brings top players from countries like England, Scotland, Germany, Canada, and Ireland, making it a deep field on Golfweek's Senior Nation schedule. The winner also earns a USGA exemption into the final stage of U.S. Senior Open qualifying.
