Ines Derrien Embraces Seasonal Changes

Ines Derrien, a midfielder for the Tennessee Volunteers soccer team, has found a unique experience in Knoxville. Originally from San Diego, Derrien sought a change and was drawn to Tennessee's program. The distinct seasonal changes, including her first experience with snow upon arrival in January, have been a notable aspect of her adjustment.

Beyond the weather, Derrien feels a deep sense of responsibility representing the university and honoring past players. On the field, she embraces her creative role in midfield, influencing matches with shots and assists. The intensity of practices and games under Tennessee's coaching staff further shapes her experience, combining competitive demands with personal growth.
