Indiana Adds Top Transfer Aiden Sherrell

Indiana men's basketball has landed its fifth transfer portal commitment, securing former Alabama forward Aiden Sherrell for the 2025-26 season. Sherrell, originally from Detroit, arrives as a rising junior and was a highly-rated prospect in the 2024 class.

During the recently concluded 2025-26 season, Sherrell made a notable leap in performance. He started all 32 games for Alabama, averaging 11.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists. He also demonstrated efficiency, shooting 52.9% from the field and 33.8% from three-point range.

The acquisition of Sherrell is seen as a significant upgrade for Indiana's frontcourt, which was identified as a weaker area on the team. The 6'11" player is expected to provide size and skill, though he may play more power forward than center.
