2 Oct
Summary
- Coach Stephanie White led the Fever to playoffs for two consecutive seasons.
- The team lost in the semifinals without Caitlin Clark last year.
- Key free agents include guards Kelsey Mitchell and Sophie Cunningham.
Stephanie White, a prominent figure in Indiana basketball, has led the Fever to postseason appearances in her past two seasons as head coach. Her tenure saw the team reach the WNBA semifinals in 2025, a series they lost in Game 5 without the notable presence of Caitlin Clark. In the current season, the Fever were eliminated in the first round, falling in Game 3 with Clark on the roster.
Throughout the last two regular seasons, White has compiled a commendable 52-36 record with Indiana. Despite the team's recent playoff shortcomings, indications suggest a high probability of White returning for a third season. A departure from the team or by White herself would be considered surprising following the conclusion of their playoff series.
Looking ahead, the Indiana Fever face decisions regarding their roster, as guards Kelsey Mitchell and Sophie Cunningham are among their most significant free agents.
