The Indian women's hockey team is set to embark on a new chapter with the return of chief coach Sjoerd Marijne. Marijne's contract extends until this major event, underscoring a long-term vision for the team's development.
Marijne, who previously guided the team to a remarkable fourth-place finish at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, brings back his expertise. He will be joined by a formidable support staff. Former Argentinian defender Matias Vila will serve as the analytical coach, while Wayne Lombard, known for his work in enhancing fitness standards, takes on the role of head of athletic performance, assisted by scientific advisors Rodet Yila and Ciara Yila.
