The Hong Kong Sixes tournament, which began in the 1990s, offers a unique platform for international cricketers to compete. It was established to provide Hong Kong's players and fans with opportunities to witness top-tier talent. The tournament, known for its annual international competition format featuring national teams, experienced interruptions due to the rise of T20 leagues but was successfully relaunched in 2024 after a single event in 2017.
