As India gears up for their three-match ODI series against New Zealand, kicking off on Sunday in Vadodara, the team has been putting the finishing touches on their preparations. During an optional training session, former captain Rohit Sharma was observed giving batting advice to pacer Mohammed Siraj.
However, the practice session was not without its concerns. Vice-captain Shreyas Iyer, having recently participated in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, batted alongside KL Rahul. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant had a worrying moment when he was hit by a ball during his net session and received attention from the support staff.
The Baroda Cricket Association Stadium will host its first men's international match as the series opener. The subsequent ODIs are scheduled for January 14 in Rajkot and the final match in Indore.
