India's upcoming white-ball tour of England will feature a fresh lineup of commentators, including prominent players making their broadcasting debuts. All-rounder Shardul Thakur is set to step into the commentary box for the eight-match series, which spans from July 1 to July 19 and includes five T20Is and three ODIs.
Thakur, currently out of India's white-ball plans, will join former cricketers like Ajay Jadeja and Ambati Rayudu for the Hindi commentary. This break has provided the experienced player an opportunity to try his hand at television commentary for the first time.
Adding to the new voices, former India wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat will also make his commentary debut. He will be part of the panel for the three-ODI series. Bharat recently announced his retirement from international cricket to pursue opportunities in franchise T20 leagues.
The series coverage will be extensive, offered in five languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. Notably, this tour marks the first time dedicated Kannada commentary will be available on Indian television for an India tour of England, expanding the broadcast's accessibility.
