New York Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin is currently on a trajectory that could lead him to the Hall of Fame. However, a recent assessment places him in a "check back in a few years" tier, acknowledging his current accomplishments while suggesting more elite seasons are needed. Shesterkin's resume already includes the 2021-22 Vezina Trophy, awarded to the league's top goaltender, and two All-Star Game nominations.

Despite a challenging team performance last season, Shesterkin battled injuries to achieve a 25-19-6 record. His performance statistics, including a .912 save percentage and 2.50 goals-against average, were among the league's best.
