Rookie Hutchins Makes Preseason Impact

Rookie defensive player Hutchins logged two tackles, one solo, during his 37 snaps in the recent preseason game against the Colts. He participated in 45 percent of the defensive plays.

Hutchins, a seventh-round draft pick, is working to improve his position on the depth chart. His early performance suggests potential for regular-season playing time, particularly if teammate Harold Landry's undisclosed injury requires him to miss time. This situation could open up opportunities for Hutchins to contribute.

The rookie's presence in the preseason game is a critical step in his bid to make the Patriots' final 53-man roster.
