Huskers Volleyball's Baseball Night Ends With Injury Scare

Nebraska's volleyball team recently concluded their non-conference schedule with a unique baseball-themed match. The Huskers donned baseball-inspired jerseys and featured park-themed music and scoreboard visuals for their rescheduled game. During the second set, a concerning moment arose when sophomore Teraya Sigler slipped and sustained what appeared to be a knee or ankle injury, forcing her to miss the remainder of the match. She was later seen in a walking boot, confirming a lower leg/foot injury. Skyler Pierce is expected to fill her role.

Their opponent, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, has a challenging history in the Big Ten conference, managing only 103 wins in 12 years since joining in 2014. Their conference record is similarly stark, with only 17 wins over the same period. However, the 2026 Rutgers team has started the season positively, boasting a 9-3 non-conference record and remaining undefeated at home. Despite this improved start, they were predicted to finish 17th in the Big Ten, with key players like Mira McCool and Skyler George leading their offense.
