25 Apr
Summary
- Hurricanes seek to win Game 4 and advance.
- Senators aim for a comeback win to extend series.
- History shows teams can overcome series deficits.
The Carolina Hurricanes are determined to end their playoff series against the Ottawa Senators in Game 4. Carolina aims to secure a victory on Saturday at Canadian Tire Centre to advance to the second round, preventing the Senators from building momentum.
Despite the Hurricanes' strong position, the Senators are looking for a historic comeback. They can draw inspiration from their own performance last season where they rallied from a three-game deficit and from the Philadelphia Flyers' 2010 playoff run, demonstrating that series comebacks are possible.
Carolina's coach acknowledges the Senators' strength and emphasizes the need for his team to play at peak intensity and execute flawlessly. The Hurricanes understand that their success hinges on matching or exceeding Ottawa's desperation, aiming to extinguish any hope of a comeback in Game 4.
