Summary
- Horatio Fields is back in the NCAA Transfer Portal.
- He previously signed with Missouri but was released.
- Ole Miss is a strong contender to sign Fields.

Horatio Fields, a wide receiver for the Auburn Tigers, has once again entered the NCAA Transfer Portal. This development follows his release from a prior signing with the Missouri Tigers, as confirmed by multiple reports on Tuesday, January 28, 2026. Fields, recognized as a Top-30 free agent receiver, brings experience from previous stints with Wake Forest and Auburn.
Fields initially joined Wake Forest in 2021 before transferring to Auburn. In the most recent 2024 season, he recorded 12 receptions for 106 yards and one touchdown for the Tigers. After four seasons at Wake Forest and one at Auburn, Fields is now back on the open market.
The Ole Miss Rebels are reportedly leading the race to acquire Fields' commitment. He could become a valuable rotational player within their talented wide receiver unit in Oxford. The Rebels' 2026 Transfer Portal Class currently ranks second nationally with 28 signees, and adding Fields would further bolster their offensive depth.
