On Saturday, October 8th, 2025, the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors pulled off a decisive 44-26 victory over the Utah State Aggies, ending an 8-year drought against their Mountain West Conference rivals.
Quarterback Micah Alejado was the star of the show, throwing for 413 yards and 3 touchdowns, while also rushing for a 15-yard score that gave Hawaii a 34-26 lead in the fourth quarter. Alejado's favorite target was receiver Pofele Ashlock, who caught all 3 of the quarterback's touchdown passes.
The game was a back-and-forth affair, with Utah State briefly taking a 26-24 lead early in the second half on a 32-yard touchdown pass. However, Hawaii responded by scoring the final 20 points of the game, including a pair of field goals from Kansei Matsuzawa.
