Harpeth Hall Roars to State Soccer Championship

Harpeth Hall emerged victorious in the 2026 TSSAA girls soccer state championship, overcoming Christ Presbyterian Academy with a 2-1 scoreline. This marks the Honeybears' third state title in program history, with their last championship secured in 2021.

The championship match saw CPA take an early lead with a goal from Livi Langan in the 8th minute. However, Harpeth Hall responded, with Olivia Grace Akatue equalizing in the 27th minute, assisted by Alexa Sarb. Sarb then scored the game-winning goal in the 67th minute, unassisted, giving Harpeth Hall a 2-1 advantage.

Harpeth Hall's defense held strong through the final 13 minutes, limiting CPA's offensive opportunities. Goalie Penny Hemmingway made six crucial saves for the Honeybears. Earlier in the tournament, Harpeth Hall upset the three-time defending champions, Baylor, 1-0 in the semifinals.
