- Beebe previously caddied for a U.S. Open qualifier just days before.
Hampton Beebe, an Auburn signee, has secured his place in the 2026 U.S. Amateur, scheduled to take place at Merion Golf Club from August 10-16. This achievement follows his victory in Florida's 109th Amateur Championship, which concluded on June 14 at The Dye Preserve and The Club at Admiral's Cove.
Remarkably, just days before his own triumph, Beebe caddied for Royal Palm Beach's Giuseppe Puebla during the U.S. Open qualifying event on June 8. Puebla successfully tied for first place to earn a spot in the 126th U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills.
Beebe's performance at the Florida Amateur was dominant, as he finished 6-under-par across 72 holes. He was the sole competitor to achieve par or better in all four rounds, demonstrating remarkable consistency. His opening round of 3-under 68 at Admiral's Cove set a strong pace, and he maintained his composure throughout the challenging final rounds at The Dye Preserve, outlasting a competitive field.
