Hakimi Rested: PSG Star to Miss Troyes Clash
6 Nov
Summary
- Achraf Hakimi will rest until the international break, missing the Troyes match.
- He has played 13 of 14 matches this season for Paris Saint-Germain.
- Hakimi will join his national team for 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi will not participate in the upcoming Ligue 1 match against ESTAC Troyes on Saturday. The club announced that, in agreement with the manager and sporting director, Hakimi has been granted a period of rest until the international break commences.
This respite comes after Hakimi's significant involvement this season, having started in 13 out of the 14 games he has played. The break will provide him an opportunity to recharge before he joins his national team. He is scheduled to play two matches for Morocco as part of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
Hakimi, who recently captained PSG in a Champions League match against Villarreal, has been in strong form. He notably scored three goals and provided two assists in the team's victory over Le Havre earlier in the season.
