Grizzlies & Jazz: Injury Report Ahead of All-Star Break Return
21 Feb
Summary
- Jaren Jackson Jr. out for season after knee surgery.
- Ja Morant sidelined weeks more with elbow soreness.
- Key Jazz players Lauri Markkanen and Keyonte George also absent.

The Memphis Grizzlies are set to host the Utah Jazz on Friday, February 20th, 2026, following the All-Star break, but both teams are grappling with substantial injury concerns.
Memphis will be without Jaren Jackson Jr. for the remainder of the season, as he underwent a procedure to remove a benign tumor in his knee. Ja Morant also remains sidelined for several more weeks due to elbow soreness. The team's injury woes extend to Ty Jerome, Santi Aldama, Scotty Pippen Jr., and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
The Utah Jazz are also heavily affected, with Lauri Markkanen and Keyonte George listed as doubtful and ruled out, respectively. Center Jusuf Nurkic will also be absent. Despite the mounting absences, Vince Williams Jr. is expected to play against his former team.
Both teams have struggled recently, with Memphis losing four straight and the Jazz enduring a difficult road record. Historically, the Grizzlies and Jazz have split their season series, with scoring not being an issue when they face each other.
