10 Oct
Summary
- Grizzlies face Bulls on Oct. 9 in preseason game.
- Rookie Cam Boozer drafted one pick before Caleb Wilson.
- Zach Edey debuted; Isaiah Stewart recovering from injury.
The Memphis Grizzlies are continuing their preseason journey with an away game against the Chicago Bulls on October 9. This marks the Grizzlies' third preseason outing and provides another look at their developing roster.
Chicago, also a young team, has bolstered its lineup with additions like Norman Powell, Josh Giddey, and Matas Buzelis. A key focus of the game will be the potential rookie showdown between Grizzlies' draftee Cam Boozer and the Bulls' No. 4 pick, Caleb Wilson. Both players were selected consecutively in the 2026 NBA Draft and previously faced off in summer league.
The Grizzlies have been gradually increasing playing time for their key players. Center Zach Edey, a recent addition, made his debut on October 7 in a victory against the Orlando Magic. However, Isaiah Stewart was sidelined for that game due to an ankle injury he is currently recovering from.
