Greater Johnstown established an early lead, but Shaler mounted comebacks throughout the game, even tying the score at 22-all in the second quarter. However, the Trojans responded with key baskets, including a crucial three-pointer before halftime, to regain control. Senior Amier Robinson was instrumental, scoring the team's first nine points and finishing with a game-high 25 points.
Despite Shaler's late push in the third quarter, Greater Johnstown maintained composure. Senior Tommy Ashcom contributed 18 points, complementing Robinson's performance. The Trojans, now 19-4 on the season, will advance to face Gateway in the second round on Tuesday. Shaler concluded their season with a 15-12 record, with juniors and seniors having played their final games.
