Williams Out: Knee Injury Sidelines Blazer
28 Jan
Summary
- Williams will not play Tuesday due to left knee injury management.
- This absence is for managing a maintenance day during a back-to-back.
- Williams is expected to play Friday against the Knicks.
Grant Williams will be sidelined for the Portland Trail Blazers' matchup against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday. The forward is managing a left knee injury, prompting his absence from the game.
This decision comes as the Trail Blazers are in the midst of a back-to-back series. Given Williams' history of injuries, a maintenance day is a sensible approach. He is projected to return to the court for the game scheduled for Friday against the New York Knicks. The team's center rotation depth is tested, with rookie Yang Hansen serving as the primary backup to Donovan Clingan.
