Watford's midfielder, Giorgi Chakvetadze, has officially moved to Serie A club Udinese. This transfer concludes his three-year tenure with the Hornets, during which he accumulated 103 appearances. The 26-year-old's decision to join the Italian side, also owned by the Pozzo family, stems from a desire to compete in a different league.
Following an injury that kept him out until November, Chakvetadze was a consistent presence in Watford's Championship matches for the remainder of the last season. His departure marks the tenth player exit from Watford this summer, with technical director Gian Luca Nani highlighting Chakvetadze's ambition to play top-level football in Serie A after considering offers from across Europe.
