Giants Swap Kickers, Add German TE to IPP
25 Nov
Summary
- Jude McAtameny was released from the Giants' roster.
- German tight end Maximilian Mang is now on the roster.
- Mang takes over the International Pathway Program exemption.

The New York Giants have opted to release kicker Jude McAtameny, who held an International Pathway Program (IPP) practice squad exemption. He has been replaced on the roster by tight end Maximilian Mang, who now inherits the IPP exemption. McAtameny, a former Rutgers player, had a difficult stretch filling in for Graham Gano, missing three extra points in recent games.
Mang, a 6-foot-6, 263-pound player from Germany, previously played college football at Syracuse where he was primarily a blocking tight end. He entered the NFL this year as an undrafted free agent with the Indianapolis Colts before being released last week. His addition to the Giants provides a new opportunity within the IPP program.
This roster change comes as the Giants continue to navigate injuries at the kicker position, having recently signed Younghoe Koo to replace the currently injured Graham Gano. The team also added kicker Ben Sauls to their practice squad, further signaling a shift in their kicking game strategy.
