Skattebo Benched: Ball Security Issues Plague Giants RB
18 Oct
Summary
- Cam Skattebo faces reduced playing time due to ball security issues.
- Najee Harris is expected to start at running back for the Giants.
- Skattebo has fumbled in his last three games, including a critical one in overtime.
Cam Skattebo's playing time with the New York Giants is expected to be limited in Week 6 due to persistent ball security issues. The team is reportedly planning to start Najee Harris at running back over Skattebo. This decision is largely driven by Skattebo's struggles this season, having recorded four fumbles, including one lost in overtime during the previous week's game against Washington.
The Giants are anticipated to have all four of their running backs active for the upcoming game, a change from recent weeks where only three were active. This potential activation of Devin Singletary means Skattebo's opportunities may be further reduced. Despite facing a defense that allows significant rushing yards, any touches Skattebo receives will be under scrutiny given his fumbling history.
