Giants' Draft Shake-up: Trade Looming for Thibodeaux?

The New York Giants' acquisition of Ohio State's Arvell Reese with the fifth overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft has intensified trade speculation surrounding defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux. Reese, reportedly the Giants' top draft choice, joins an already robust pass-rushing unit, leading to questions about Thibodeaux's future with the team.

While head coach John Harbaugh initially stated the team intended to keep all its talented players, reports indicate the Giants have begun trade discussions for Thibodeaux. This comes just four years after selecting him fifth overall in the 2022 NFL Draft. Thibodeaux, still only 25, possesses significant upside despite a dip in production over the past two seasons.
