German Coach to Lead Vanuatu's New Pro-League Club and National Team

As Vanuatu prepares to launch its first professional soccer competition, the Pro-League, the country has turned to an experienced European manager to lead their new club and national team. Lars Hopp, a German with an extensive background in football as both a player and coach, has been tapped to take charge of Vanuatu United and the Vanuatu national men's team.

Hopp comes to the Pacific nation with a wealth of experience, having worked in Germany, Estonia, Norway, England, and most recently, Uzbekistan for FIFA. This will be his first foray into the Pacific region, but he will not be entirely unfamiliar with his new surroundings, as he will be linking up with a former colleague in Vanuatu.
