Georgia RB Caden Waye Emerges as Top Target for Michigan State Spartans

As of August 17th, 2025, the Michigan State Spartans are actively targeting top running back prospect Caden Waye from the state of Georgia for their 2027 recruiting class. Waye, who is currently ranked inside the top-150 by 247Sports, has emerged as a rising star in the class and is drawing significant interest from the Spartans and several other top programs.

The Spartans' running backs coach, Keith Bhonapha, has been leading the recruitment efforts for Waye. The two have been in regular communication, with Waye stating that Bhonapha is the coach he has been hearing from the most. The Spartans are hoping to get Waye on campus for a game visit sometime during the upcoming season, as they look to make a strong impression and secure his commitment.
