George Barton Proud of Versatile Gloucester Role

George Barton, a player developed through Gloucester's academy system since 2014, has become a versatile asset for the team. Initially a fly-half, Barton has adapted to a more varied role over the past few years, primarily playing at full-back this season. He stated his pride in persevering through challenging times to earn playing opportunities, crediting hard work and coach George Skivington's support. This season, Barton has started nine games at full-back, contributing to wins against Exeter and Sale and frequently taking on kicking responsibilities. His adaptability also allows him to cover fly-half when a 6/2 bench split is utilized. Barton views his unique role as a valuable option for the team's strategic plays.
