Fury has now turned his attention to Oleksandr Usyk, whom he faced twice in 2024, losing both decisions. Fury has challenged Usyk to a third fight, proposing a rematch in November. He questioned whether Usyk would accept the fight in 2026 or choose to retire. Previously, Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, noted that the fight's purse was a key sticking point. The bout was expected to take place at Madison Square Garden, although Joshua's camp preferred Wembley Stadium.
