The FSU Seminoles baseball program has secured another transfer commitment, welcoming infielder Callum Early from the Texas Longhorns. Early, a left-handed hitter, adds valuable depth to the Seminoles' infield.
During his freshman season at Liberty University, Early proved his abilities, participating in 33 games with 28 starts. He recorded a .295 batting average, with 23 runs scored, six doubles, two home runs, and 15 runs batted in. His on-base percentage was .427.
He will have three seasons of eligibility remaining at Florida State and is eligible for the 2027 MLB Draft. Early is the younger brother of Boston Red Sox pitcher Connelly Early.
This signing represents FSU's ninth transfer acquisition of the offseason and their third infielder. The team also added first baseman Nick Barron and shortstop Cooper Malamazian, both expected starters in 2027.
