Summary
- Fenway Sports Group now owns Boston Common Golf.
- This is FSG's first team ownership in women's pro golf.
- WTGL league debuts this fall with top LPGA players.

Fenway Sports Group (FSG) has officially become the owner of Boston Common Golf, the fifth team to join the newly established Women's Team Golf League (WTGL). This significant investment represents FSG's inaugural team ownership in the realm of women's professional golf.
The WTGL, a collaborative initiative with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), is scheduled to commence its inaugural season this fall. The league will feature a team match-play format, drawing upon the participation of many of the LPGA Tour's leading athletes.
This expansion into women's golf builds upon FSG's prior engagement, which included early investment in TMRW Sports, the parent company behind both the WTGL and its men's counterpart, TGL. FSG's commitment was further evidenced by a partnership established in 2023 between Fenway Sports Management and the LPGA, aimed at enhancing the Tour's sponsorship and marketing endeavors.
The league's current roster comprises 14 announced players, including six from the world's top 13 golfers, who collectively boast 95 LPGA Tour victories. Additional player announcements are anticipated before the season's start.
