Inspired by a childhood friend's resilience, Hugo Turpin has undertaken a series of extraordinary physical challenges. Over the past year, Turpin has completed a marathon, an ultramarathon, and summited Mount Kilimanjaro. These demanding achievements were motivated by his friend, Olly Foster, who has been fighting a rare form of cancer.
Olly Foster was initially diagnosed with synovial sarcoma, a rare soft tissue cancer, when he was just 10 years old. He received support from the charity Sarcoma UK during his initial battle. Following a re-diagnosis in 2025, Olly, then 18, endured two rounds of intensive chemotherapy. This was followed by a significant medical procedure, a below-knee amputation.
