The No. 9 Maryland Terrapins women's basketball team is off to a sizzling start to their 2025 season, improving to 4-0 with a commanding 88-70 victory over Towson last night at Xfinity Center.
Freshman guard Addi Mack continued to impress, leading the Terrapins with 15 points on 7-of-13 shooting. Mack also contributed 3 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals in 30 minutes of play, cementing her status as a reliable scoring and playmaking threat for head coach Brenda Frese.
Maryland had four other players score in double figures, including Kayleene Smikle, who made her season debut after missing the first three games due to "nagging injuries." Smikle scored 13 points, while Breanna Williams, Yarden Garzon, and Oluchi Okananwa each added 10 points. Okananwa has now scored 10 or more points in all four of Maryland's games this season.
