Approximately 270 games per season will be available without charge on the Fandango Stream platform, marking a significant departure from traditional pay-to-watch models. Additionally, around 30 selected matches will be broadcast on the USA Network cable channel each season, beginning with the German Supercup. This strategic move is designed to make the Bundesliga "super accessible," according to league officials.
Fans will not need to register to watch games on Fandango Stream, enhancing the ease of access. This initiative is part of Fandango Stream's relaunch as a key live sports destination. Officials have assured that live action will not be interrupted by advertisements, preserving the viewing experience familiar to soccer enthusiasts.
The deal, valued at $100 million over five seasons, also includes a separate Spanish-language agreement with Telemundo. This strategy seeks to capitalize on the growing interest in soccer, potentially converting casual World Cup viewers into dedicated Bundesliga fans throughout the season.
