Former Champ Joshua to Face YouTube Star Paul in December Bout

In a surprising turn of events, former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is set to face off against YouTube star-turned-boxer Jake Paul in a professional bout on December 19. The fight, which will take place at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, will be streamed live on Netflix.

The 36-year-old Joshua, who held the unified heavyweight title on two occasions, will be making his return to the ring for the first time since being knocked out by Daniel Dubois in September 2024. Meanwhile, Paul, known for his successful transition from social media to the boxing world, was originally scheduled to take on Gervonta Davis in an exhibition match earlier this month, but the fight was cancelled due to a lawsuit filed against Davis.

Joshua, on the other hand, sees this as a significant opportunity, stating, "I took some time out and I'm coming back with a mega show. It's a big opportunity for me." The bout will consist of eight three-minute rounds, and Joshua is determined to make the most of it, promising to "break the internet over Jake Paul's face."
