Summary
- Liam Padron, former Texas A&M kicker, committed to Florida.
- Padron has eligibility remaining for a redshirt season.
- Florida's roster now includes two kickers after departures.

Former Texas A&M kicker Liam Padron has committed to the Florida Gators via the NCAA transfer portal, announcing his decision on Saturday. Padron, originally from St. Augustine, played his high school football at Bartram Trail before spending the past two seasons with the Aggies.
During his time at Texas A&M, Padron saw limited action, appearing in only three games without attempting any field goals. He recorded six kickoffs with an average of 59.7 yards. Notably, Padron is eligible for a redshirt season as he stayed within the four-game threshold in each of his freshman and sophomore years.
The addition of Padron addresses a need for the Gators' special teams unit. Florida recently saw kicker Trey Smack graduate and Evan Noel enter the transfer portal. The team also secured Tulane kicker Patrick Durkin earlier in the offseason, bolstering their kicking options for the upcoming seasons.
