Summary
- Namo Fazil alleges he was attacked by 15 people day before fight.
- He claims the incident during his weight cut affected his performance.
- The alleged attackers were reportedly Chechen fighters.

Namo Fazil has come forward with allegations of an assault that occurred the day before his recent Contender Series headlining fight. Fazil claims he was confronted and attacked by a group of approximately 15 individuals in his hotel room while in the midst of his weight cut.
According to Fazil, the incident involved a confrontation with Chechen fighters, during which he was slapped and a scuffle ensued. He stated that his coaches intervened to prevent him from fighting immediately after the altercation, as he still had a bout scheduled. Police were reportedly called to the hotel.
Fazil believes the stress and physical confrontation from this alleged attack compromised his ability to perform at his peak in his fight against Kaik Brito. He lost this bout via third-round knockout. Fazil stated his intention was not to make excuses but to explain why his performance was below his usual standard.
While Fazil asserts he was not seriously injured, he suggests the incident was a deliberate attempt to disrupt his fight. One individual, identified as middleweight fighter Baisangur Susurkaev, reportedly posted mocking content on social media following the event. The animosity may stem from Fazil's prior call-outs of fighter Islam Dulatov.
