Fever's Natasha Howard Benched, Praises Teammates' Support

However, veteran forward Natasha Howard, who is on a one-year, $214,466 deal, struggled early in the game and saw limited playing time of just 12:19 minutes. Howard went 0-for-5 from the field, and coach Stephanie White opted to bench her.

Despite the tough outing, Howard expressed her gratitude to her Fever teammates, particularly Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell, for their unwavering support. Mitchell delivered her best performance of the season, erupting for a season-high 35 points and knocking down a season-best seven 3-pointers.

The limited minutes for Howard turned out to be a blessing in disguise for rookie Makayla Timpson. The young forward saw extended time off the bench and made the most of the opportunity, delivering a standout performance. Timpson logged 22 minutes and scored a career-high 14 points on an efficient 6 of 8 shooting, while also adding four rebounds, one assist, and three steals.
