Summary
- Two female racers were hospitalized after their car caught fire.
- A fuel cell exploded during preparations for a race.
- The drivers were treated for burns in San Diego.

Two prominent female motorsport figures, Kylie Marie Walton and Janey Lee, have been hospitalized following a severe vehicle fire during preparations for the San Felipe 250 race. The incident, which occurred just before the race in Baja California, involved an explosion reportedly originating from the car's fuel cell.
The fuel cell was situated beneath Janey Lee's seat, complicating her escape when the vehicle burst into flames. Witnesses reported that Lee struggled with her seatbelt, still on fire, before Walton intervened. Walton successfully freed herself and then her companion, preventing more severe injuries.
Both Walton and Lee were subsequently transported by air to San Diego for urgent medical treatment concerning their burns. Their condition is being closely monitored following the traumatic event.
Walton and Lee are recognized for their roles as part of the Monster Energy Girls, a group often associated with motorsport and MMA events. However, they have transitioned to active racing careers, making their SCORE debut in September of the previous year.
