Falcons Workout Free Agents Ahead of Preseason Opener

As the Atlanta Falcons gear up for their preseason opener against the Detroit Lions this Friday, the team has been busy evaluating potential roster additions. Earlier this week, the Falcons worked out four free agents, including veteran defensive back Ronnie Harrison.

Harrison, who has spent the past seven seasons in the NFL, most notably with the Jacksonville Jaguars, was one of the players to visit the Falcons' facilities on Tuesday. The 28-year-old has recorded seven career interceptions and 25 passes defended over his professional career.

In addition to Harrison, the Falcons also took a look at linebackers Jailin Walker, Chance Campbell, and Max Tooley. Walker, an undrafted free agent out of Indiana in 2025, previously spent time with the Las Vegas Raiders. Campbell, a 2022 sixth-round pick by the Tennessee Titans, has appeared in just four NFL games so far. Tooley, a former BYU linebacker, has had stints with the Houston Texans and Minnesota Vikings.

While none of the four players left Atlanta with a contract, the Falcons have shown a willingness to explore all options as they finalize their roster ahead of the regular season. The team recently worked out and signed wide receiver DJ Chark just a week before their preseason opener, demonstrating their proactive approach to player evaluation.
