The Atlanta Falcons have officially announced the hiring of Troy Kruchten as a defensive quality control coach. Kruchten joins the Falcons' staff at Flowery Branch after spending recent years coaching in the Sun Belt Conference.
His most recent position was with the Georgia State Panthers in downtown Atlanta, where he had been promoted to assistant coach for nickel cornerbacks and co-special teams coordinator for the upcoming season. Prior to this role, Kruchten coached outside linebackers at Georgia State and served as a graduate assistant at the University of Florida.
Kruchten played linebacker for Louisiana for three seasons, contributing to conference championship teams in 2020 and 2021. He will join a Falcons defensive staff aiming to build on their performance from the previous season, where the team ranked 15th in total defense and 19th in scoring defense.
