Summary
- Falcons trade for Seahawks tackle Michael Jerrell
- Falcons dealing with injuries to key offensive linemen
- Jerrell played 10 games, started 3 for Seahawks in 2024

As the 2025 NFL season approaches, the Atlanta Falcons have found themselves in a precarious position on their offensive line. Injuries have left them thin at the tackle position, prompting the team to make a trade to address the issue.
On Tuesday, the Falcons agreed to acquire tackle Michael Jerrell from the Seattle Seahawks. Jerrell, a sixth-round pick in 2024, played in 10 games and made 3 starts for the Seahawks during his rookie campaign. In exchange, the Falcons will send a conditional 2027 seventh-round pick to Seattle.
The move comes as the Falcons are dealing with significant injuries to key members of their offensive line. Head coach Raheem Morris revealed that right tackle Kaleb McGary will miss "significant time" after suffering a leg injury in practice last week. Additionally, swing tackle Storm Norton is also sidelined for an extended period following ankle surgery.
With these setbacks, the Falcons have acted quickly to bolster their depth at the tackle position. Jerrell, a young and promising player, will now have the opportunity to contribute to the Falcons' efforts to shore up their offensive line and prepare for the upcoming season.
