9 Oct
Summary
- Formula 1 assures no risk to Singapore GP from Indonesian wildfire haze.
- Pollution levels in Singapore reached 'unhealthy' and 'very unhealthy' zones.
- Organizers confirm entertainment and racing activities will proceed as planned.

Formula 1 has issued assurances that the Singapore Grand Prix faces no risk from the pervasive haze caused by wildfires in Indonesia. Air quality in Singapore has reached "unhealthy" levels, with a 24-hour rolling pollutant sub-index near the Marina Bay Street Circuit recorded between 104 and 167.
Despite the smog, which was noticeable during initial track sessions, F1 organization and Singapore GP officials have downplayed concerns. They confirmed that all planned entertainment and racing activities are set to continue without modification. This includes scheduled concerts by prominent artists.
F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali stated the haze will not impact the event. Drivers have also not raised significant concerns, with some noting the haze primarily during their arrival. Valtteri Bottas observed worsening air quality during a bicycle ride but did not deem it a critical issue for the race.
