This Sunday, former New York Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer will return to face his old team as the Dallas Cowboys host the Jets. Schottenheimer, who spent six seasons as the Jets' OC from 2006 to 2011, is now the Cowboys' offensive coordinator.
Elsewhere, the Baltimore Ravens will turn to backup quarterback Cooper Rush to start in place of the injured Lamar Jackson. Rush, who spent the past few seasons with the Cowboys, has been praised by Ravens coaches and players for his preparation and understanding of the offense.
Additionally, the Cowboys' offensive line has been bolstered by the strong play of undrafted guard T.J. Bass. In his first six starts this season, the Cowboys have averaged over 110 rushing yards per game and scored 30+ points four times. Bass is set to become a restricted free agent, and his performance could earn him a lucrative contract offer from another team.
