Huskies Alumni Land NFL Practice Squad Spots

As NFL teams finalized their rosters ahead of the 2026 season, several former Washington Huskies alumni have secured positions on practice squads. These signings provide continued opportunities for these players at the professional level.

Notable among them is running back Salvon Ahmed, who inked a deal with the Chicago Bears. After spending his initial five seasons with the Miami Dolphins, Ahmed, who averaged six yards per carry in the preseason, could be called upon to bolster the Bears' backfield. Tight end Devin Culp will return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who originally drafted him in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
