Everton Eyes Newcastle Winger Jacob Murphy

Murphy, currently in his ninth year at St. James' Park, has made over 200 appearances for Newcastle. His contract with the Magpies is set to expire at the end of the 2026-27 season. While he played a role in their Carabao Cup-winning campaign, his game time has decreased recently.

According to former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness, Moyes is assessing Murphy's personality and leadership before making a decision. Although Murphy is not Everton's top priority, the club's admiration for the 31-year-old is noted. Everton has already signed Tyrique George from Chelsea to strengthen attacking options.

Wyness suggests that while Murphy might not be an urgent need for Everton, the blend of age and youth he could offer is being considered.
